HAVING motorist queuing to renew their driver’s license cards every five years, seem to be a bit too much for the government to process.
An amendment to the National Road Traffic Regulations Act has been gazetted, which will change the current five years expiry date to 10 years.
This follows after government officials complained about the time-consuming process.
The changes were published on Friday, with a four-week deadline for public comment.
I think this will be a very bad move-10 year license cards. The drivers will drive with eye problems, hence increasing the accidents and death toll.
