City bans Red October protest

Red card for protest rally.

DESPITE being allowed in more than 50 other venues countrywide, the planned ‘Red October’ protest planned for Naval Island on Saturday was denied permission by City authorities.

According to organisers, the protest rally was designed to especially remember white farmers and their families murdered in criminal attacks.

Dressed symbolically in red, the protesters also planned to submit a petition to senior members at the Richards Bay police station.

However, following a Section 4 safety meeting, the public protest was described as ‘high risk’ in terms of traffic and possible public reaction issues.

Based on the municipality’s decision, the SAPS also declined to accept the petition.

While some 50 protesters did gather briefly at Naval Island on Saturday morning, a decision was taken to move the protest to a private home in Meerensee to avoid conflict with authorities.

There the petition was read and balloons were released in remembrance of the killed farmers.

‘We must also remember those who survived the horrific attacks and who are left physically and psychologically scarred,’ said Red October convener, Danie Heenop.

He called on supporters to ‘within the law’ embark on protest actions to bring crimes of ‘ethnic cleansing’ and ‘hate speech’ to an end.

  1. This is an absolute example of discrimination and I am very disgusted in the municipality.

  2. Utterly disgusted. Racism in it’s finest form. We just sit here while we are being robbed/murdered day and night but yet we do nothing to stop it! Guess what people, it’s time to wake up and take a stand! We have to take back what has been and what is being taken from us! We have done it before and can do it again. Don’t think that your prayers alone will save us, you got a brain too, use it!

  3. Pragtig aan die Red October mense wat deurgedruk het. Genoeg is genoeg. Moord en diskriminasie moet stop,

  4. These guys are so out of touch it is laughable. How sad that such a proud nation can be reduced to a bunch of victims.

Get out of the past you clowns. You are NOT worse off than the majority of South Africa and a murder of a white afrikaans speaking person is no different from the murder of anyone else in this country.

One thing you seem to not understand so nicely is that pre ’94 the murder rate per year was not even a 1/100th of what it is today; thus during those bad “oppression” times you refer to where black and white had traded in peace in JHB city center, you name it, they were actually protected from themselves as well. Now go to youtube and search for:

Watch those videos and open your eyes as the farmers being murdered are being murdered in the most in humane and unimaginable ways, boiled to death, drowned, burnt to death with irons, hacked to death, intestines being ripped apart, women having gutted open like animals.

Good luck for you mate, cause when they decide to do it in mass they won’t even think of sparing the white liberals, just saying ;)
