AN accident on the R618 just outside Mtubatuba earlier today claimed the life of one person while at least one other was injured.
A passenger died when two bakkies collided at about 10.45am.
While the driver of the vehicle was badly injured, he was talking to Mtubatuba Fire Service officers who were on the scene. KZN Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived a short while later.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by SAPS.
