Mtuba shoppers eager for new mall opening

Offering South Africa's favourite retail stores under one roof, Mtuba Mall is set to open its doors to the public at the end of the month.

RESIDENTS of the greater Mtubatuba area will soon be able to enjoy a convenient new shopping location with all their favourite shops under one roof.

With construction in its final stages, Mtuba Mall is set to open its doors to the public on Thursday, 29 May.

Designed in keeping with the environment, the mall’s large, open-air sections allow for an abundance of natural light and air flow, resulting in a lower demand for additional lighting and air conditioning. Corridors from the two main entrances meet in the centre of the mall, outside anchor tenant Shoprite.

The centre’s design is functional, offering easy access to all stores. Conveniently, parking is available at the doors of the outside stores, while inside stores are easily accessible through large, spacious walkways.

Shoprite, The Fish & Chip Co., Capitec Bank, Truworths, Woolworths Clothing and Clicks are just some of the shops coming Mtubatuba’s way.

The decision to build such a centre in Mtubatuba was not taken lightly by developers, BBB Properties. Feasibility studies, which provided in-depth market profile data, were undertaken to determine the viability of the shopping complex.

These findings identified Mtubatuba’s dire need for a more convenient shopping centre. The aim of Mtuba Mall, and the stores therein, is to provide convenient shopping for residents from the greater area, cutting down on travel time to reach such stores.

Mtubatuba resident, Maria Rankin, has been appointed as the Centre Manager. “I feel proud to be a part of such a positive development for Mtubatuba,” she said.

“A retail offering such as this is needed and will bring increased and much needed levels of business and trade to our little town, allowing us all to prosper.”

Mtubatuba resident, Gloria Ngema, is excited at the prospect of Mtuba Mall, and said, “I cannot wait for the centre to open as there aren’t enough stores in Mtubatuba and it will be great to be able to go to one place for all my shopping needs”.
