WITH the festive season almost at an end there is one more ‘unwelcome’ present awaiting all motorist on New Years Day – a petrol price hike.
As of midnight on 31 of December, 93 octane unleaded petrol will go up by 39 cents a litre, 95 octane by 38 cents a litre and diesel by 32 cents a litre. Illuminating paraffin will cost between 39 cents and 52 cents more and the maximum price for LP gas will rise by 56 cents per kg.
The fuel levy will rise to 10.96 cents a litre, forcing South Africans to tighten their purse strings in the new year.
What a way to start 2014…!!
The unfortunate part is that it doesnt stop there…. Everything goes up…..!!
