
ESHOWE detectives have made a breakthrough with the arrest of three men believed to be involved in a robbery at an eShowe garage shop on 5 January.
The men, Kwenzakwenkosi Mngomezulu (22), Falethu Zungu (15) and Lindokhule Khoza (18) appeared in the eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The case was remanded to 22 February and the men have been retained in custody.
Just before midnight on 5 January, two men entered the shop.
One of the men, jumped over the counter and held up the cashier, while a third man kept guard outside.
The men demanded the money and fled with the two loaded till drawers and several packs of cigarettes.
It is also believed that the men are also responsible for recent robberies in the Empangeni area.
