BREAKING NEWS: Towering plume panics residents
The Empangeni Fire Department is on scene and standing by for support from uMhlathuze Fire and Rescue Services.
CALLS have been streaming in regarding a large, black plume of smoke in the vicinity of the Empangeni A Rank and Boxer Superstore.
Our reporters on scene have confirmed the fire has not affected the store, nor the rank stall, but is contained to a large area of wild bush on the perimeter of the building.
The Empangeni Fire Department – hindered by a lack of water supply to their trucks – is on scene at the moment and standing by for support from uMhlathuze Fire and Rescue Services.
