LOCAL karate students from different dojo’s recently fought it out at the International Federation Karate (IFK) tournament at FET College in eSikaleni.

This tournament marked the last competition for the IFK weight divsions for 2013.

Zululand fighters managed top results after punching their way through the competition.

• Smangaliso Mdladla – silver in men’s U40kg’s

• Andiswa Vilakazi – bronze in men’s U50kg’s

• Mduduzi Biyela – fourth in men’s U55kg’s

• Sanele Shoshi – bronze in men’s U70kg’s

• Mdu Vilakazi – bronze in men’s open

• Senzo Ndlanzi – fourth in men’s open
