Varsity choir show their mettle

THE UNIVERSITY of Zululand choir claimed third place in the Old Mutual national choir competition against 25 competing groups.

Unizulu was the only KZN choir in the prestigious competition.

Choir master Bhekani Buthelezi says the choir is going beyond choral music and will be staging a Spring Concert soon which will include gospel, jazz, R&B and hip hop, featuring the renowned Joyous Celebration co-founder Mthunzi Namba.

Buthelezi thanked the university community for all the support they receive.
