Foskor C-Plant start up

A plume of vapour will be visible from Foskor Richards Bay as it restarts its C-Plant this week.

RICHARDS Bay residents can expect to see a constant plume of harmless vapour at Foskor Richards Bay over the next few days.

Industrial strike action since early October resulted in the Sulphuric Acid C-Plant being offline, however it is now being put back into action.

Slight sulphurous emissions in the form of a visible plume will be evident indicating the readiness of the plant to resume production.

To ensure minimum public inconvenience, consultation will be made with local authorities prior to start up and special consideration will be taken with regards to wind direction, weather conditions and time of day.
