Police confirm patient dies after fall at Netcare The Bay Hospital.
POLICE have confirmed a 45-year-old man jumped from the 4th floor at Netcare the Bay Hospital in Richards Bay on Sunday night.
According to Richards Bay SAPS spokesperson, Captain Debbie Ferreira the patient jumped off the building after the evening visiting hours.
The hospital’s General Manager, Heinrich Venter expressed his sincere condolences to the patient’s family and loved ones on behalf of the hospital staff and management.
‘As we respect patient confidentiality and owing to the fact that this is now a police matter, we are unfortunately not in a position to disclose any further information,’ said Venter.
