Triplets welcomed to the world at the Lower Umfolozi Hospital
HISTORY repeats itself.
First time mother Thandazile Thembisile Mntungwa (25) of the Qubukani Area, Hlabisa, welcomed to the world beautiful triplets at the Lower Umfolozi Hospital on Thursday.
But the news came as no surprise to Mntungwa, since her mother gave birth to two sets of twins and her grandmother bore triplets as well.
The beautiful bundles of joy – one boy and two girls – have been the talk of the ward. The man of the pack, Esihle, weighed in at 2.6kg, following his sisters Esethu at 2.4kg and Simphiwe at 2.3kg.
Over the past three years the Lower Umfolozi Hospital has seen the birth of 754 sets of twins and 14 sets of triplets.
