AN early morning school run ended in tragedy when Thabani Sibisi (40) was shot and killed in front of his 6-year-old daughter, Snenhlanhla yesterday.
En route to school near eShowe, Thabani stopped on the P230 (towards Empangeni) to give another child a lift to school.
Suddenly, a black Toyota Fortuner blocked his way and a man got out of the vehicle and fired several shots at Thabani’s stationary vehicle.
He was killed in the attack and his daughter escaped with an arm wound.
She was taken to a nearby clinic by community members who arrived on the scene.
The shooter fled the scene.
The motive for the attack is unknown at this stage and no arrests has been made.
The eShowe SAPS is investigating a murder and attempted murder case and anyone with information can contact the investigating officer Const Malusi Ntuli on 035 4734215 or 10111 or the Crime Stop number 08600.
