NASA has released ultra high-definition footage of the Sun, and it’s amazing.
The images were taken by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) telescope, that they are using to study how solar activity is created and how space weather is affected.
According to news reports, the observatory takes high resolution (4k) images of the sun every 12 seconds.
The images are in different wavelengths of UV light and highlights a different temperature of solar material, and is given a colour.
It takes specialists 10 hours to create one minute of footage from the images:
