Cacophony at clinic needs serious attention

I went to the Ngwelezane Clinic on the weekend and I was very disturbed by the way people behaved.

There was a lot of noise and children were running up and down the passages and parents didn’t seem to care.

They were eating and littering on the floor and the place ended being filthy dirty.

Some teenagers were playing music on loudspeakers, not using earphones, and the cherry on the top was when some drunk people arrived demanding to be seen first because they had some minor cuts sustained from a fight.

To make matters worse, patients didn’t take any notice when the security guard asked them to keep the noise down.

The clinic was more like a socialising place instead of a quiet and therapeutic environment for sick people.

I think the clinic management or clinic committee needs to address the issue with the community.

I would also like to know why the clinic in town is not operating on weekends, this since it is no longer under the municipality.

People now have to travel from town to the Ngwelezane Clinic on weekends.
