An 18-year-old mother was arrested after she apparently flung her child against the wall and kicked him when he was on the floor.
What kind of savage behaviour is this?
The abuse of children continues to be a major problem in our society and across the world.
According to a national homicide study by the SA Medical Research Council, a total of 1 018 child abuse cases were recorded across the country in 2009 alone, with 454 being fatal.
This is unacceptable and heart-breaking to say the least!
The increasing incidents of child abuse are a call for parents to work together with experts, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to act against anything that violates the rights of children.
These precious little lives matter. If you can’t raise a child in love, then do not have any!
