Severe wind warning issued for KZN

BATTEN down the hatches, the South African Weather Service has warned of gale force winds to hit the north coast this afternoon.

Authorities advise the following parts of KZN to expect gale force south-westerly winds reaching up to 40 knots:

• St. Lucia
• iLembe,
• uThungulu and
• uMkhanyakude districts.

The Zululand Yatch Club has asked that all vessels be properly secured. If unable to secure your own vessel please contact the relevant authorities to assist you.

Residents are urged to be cautious.
