ONE suspect was arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Jozini supermarket yesterday.
The suspect’s six accomplices remain at large.
The robbery occurred at about 9am when a supermarket employee was approached by seven armed suspects.
She was allegedly assaulted, threatened with firearms and robbed of cell phones, an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and airtime vouchers.
The suspects fled the scene in a white VW Polo. Local police were alerted and tracked down the suspects, who then abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
One was arrested and found to be in possession of cell phones suspected to have been stolen during the robbery.
