Talented Zululanders off to SA champs

33 Zululand kids have made it through to the finals of the SA Championships of Performing Arts

ZULULAND children owned the stage at the provincial round of the South African Championships of Performing Arts held in Durban recently.

Out of a total of 38 children, 33 have progressed into the KZN team that will travel to the national championships in Rustenburg in April next year.

‘We have an exceptionally talented bunch of children in our area, and the number of contestants who made it to the next round clearly proves this,’ said Kerry Wafer, a Zululand mom who made it her mission to ensure children from the area are aware of the competition.

‘We are looking forward to seeing the children showcasing their talent along with the rest of SA next year.’

The following children made the cut for the SA Championships:

Modelling – Nicole Steinberg, Nicole Howes and Laura Wafer

Acting – Hannah Livingstone and Precious Schmitt

Singing – Thuthukile Mbokazi and Rufaro Dhlomo

Dancing – Sikhona Mbhense, Peteha Dhlomo, Carissa Davel, Lohane du Preez, Lucille Fernandes, Sarah Howes, Kaitlin Sloane, Anagha Khrishnannair, Jessica Fernandes, Courtney Marias, Kirsten Hartley, Carmen Singery, Caitlin Sutherland, Monique van Rooyen, Kelly Motsouris, Kirsty Motsouris, Danielle Loosemore, Jaen-Mari Lange, Rhaiya Naidu, Caitlin Allan, Shae Keeley, Nicole Howes, Chane Lange, Michelle Pieterse, Jenna McNally and Erin Wickham.
