AFTER hard work and top results in various competitions, six Dayspring Equestrian Centre riders have been selected for the KZN Schools team that will compete in the SA Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) multi-discipline competition in Pretoria from 5 to 11 October.

These riders will have to be on top of their game when they come up against top riders from all over the country.

Grantleigh Schools’ Kelly Ervine and her trusty steed Silver Diamond will compete in the Level 5 Dressage, Performance Riding, Working Riding and Show Jumping, Level 6 Eventing, Level 7 Equitation and Working Hunter catrgeories.

Jessica Johnson (Grantleigh) and Figmint will compete in Level 1 Working Hunter, Level 3 Prix Caprilli, Working Riding and Show Jumping and Level 4 Equitation.

Grantleigh’s Ava Eaglen and her horse Brutus will be competing in Level 1 Prix Caprilli and Working Hunter and Level 2 Equitation and Show Jumping events.

Olivia Johnson (Grantleigh) and Heidi will be taking part in the Level 1 Dressage, Equitation, Prix Caprilli, Show Jumping and Working Riding categories.

Dakotah Howes (Howes Home School) and Gypsey will ride in the Level 1 Equitation, Prix Caprilli and Show Jumping team, with Grantleigh’s Amelie Eaglen and Phantom’s Pearl competing in Level 1 Equitation and Prix Caprilli.

These young ladies are very excited about the upcoming competition and aim to make their schools and Zululand proud.
