WELL-KNOWN local businessman and avid biker Thobelani ‘Mkhulu’ Biyela, died this morning on the John Ross Highway.
The accident occurred at round 10am, when it is believed Biyela lost control of his motorbike after swerving to avoid a stationary – or near-stationary – truck, near the Mondi intersection.
He was declared dead on scene.
Biyela was preparing to travel to Vryheid on a charity-run when the accident occurred.
