THE front page lead story of the ZO dated 11 September, ‘Poachers foiled’ refers.
What a wonderful compassionate gesture the three lifesavers demonstrated when, despite being hunters themselves, they saved the nyala bull from being poached at the Pongolapoort dam.
The animal would have had no chance against the poachers’ rifle and dogs and it must surely have been providence which placed Clinton, Neil and Craigen at the scene at the time and inspired them to their vrabe actions.
You guys have my respect and surely my heroes.
