Children lend a helping hand

Empangeni Methodist Church children donate food and money to the SPCA

ON Sunday the Empangeni Methodist Church handed over a large donation of food and money to the SPCA.

The church children challenged the adults to see which group could raise the most -with the children winning hands down.

SPCA’s Irene Liversage welcomed the warm-hearted gesture with gratitude and shared words with the children about the value of treating animals with love and respect and informing them of inhumane treatment of circus animals.

Vivien Howes and her therapy dog Bailie joined the fun-filled morning activities.
