NO fewer than 200 science projects were presented at the recent Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, North Coast Region, held at the University for Zululand.
Sponsored by Eskom and conducted in partnership with the uThungulu District Department of Education (DoE), it has been hosted since 2011 in collaboration with the university and the Unizulu Science Centre.
The science fair is open to Grade 6 and above students, who conduct projects following their own scientific investigations and present these to judges on the day.
The projects covered a wide range of topics from DNA extraction to a sms car theft prevention system.
