LOCAL surfing ace Fred le Roux offers free surfing lessons to children aged 6 to 16 every Sunday at Alkantstrand Beach from 12pm.

No equipment is required as boards, leashes and rash vests are provided for those who do not have their own.

These sessions are a ‘taste’ to the sport, and if the individual is interested in taking it up, will need to get their own kit and attend more advanced lessons.
