PLAYED two, drawn two.
On the positive side, despite not getting a first win under their belt, Thanda Royal Zulu FC’s goalless game against AmaZulu on Saturday sees them still unbeaten after the early strides in the National First Division race.
And of note is the fighting spirit showed once again after being somewhat outclassed in the first half.
They bounced back with a fine second stanza performance that saw them come close to snatching victory in front of a large and vocal uMhlathuze Stadium crowd.
This despite coach Thami Ngubane being without three first choice players.
Yet again there are clear indications that Amabhubesi will blend into a fine team certainly capable of winning the league.
With a busy September ahead, expect Thanda to start making their move to the top.
They play Santos away on 12 September, followed by Boroka at home on the 19th before taking the Cape road again to meet Vasco on the 27th.
