Thanda fight back to earn draw

DOWN 3-0 at half time, Thanda Royal Zulu clawed their way back with three of their own to earn a valiant 3-3 away draw to NFD newcomers Mbombela United at Nelspruit on Saturday.

In the first league match of the season, played in tricky, rainy conditions the hosts built what looked like an unassailable lead through first stanza goals from Victor Shongwe, Inky Masuku and Sinethemba Mguni.

However, Amabhubesi refused to concede defeat, banging in three of their own with new signing Sibongiseni Zuma, Sonke Ntuli and another new arrival, Mfundo Nsele earning the point.
