UPDATE: N2 near Mtuba to remain open

The delays had not been appropriately communicated within SANRAL.

DESPITE SANRAL’s recent notice of road closure for the Bhoboza Crossing section of the N2 near Mtubatuba, the national route will remain open until further notice.

Bypass roads which are yet to be completed would have been used as the deviation during the construction of the new Bhoboza interchange. However, these roads have not yet been tarred, they have only been primed, and cannot be opened.

The Zululand Observer was informed today (Friday) that tomorrow was the contractor’s original date to commence construction of the interchange but delays in building the bypass roads have forced the delay in road closure and interchange construction.

The delays had not been appropriately communicated within SANRAL.

The Zululand Observer will keep its readers updated on the progress of these construction works.
