Colourful condoms are ‘cool’
SA government has launched new colourful 'cool' condoms, to curb with the growing HIV epidemic.

NEW colourful condoms have recently been introduced by the Department of Health as part of their new safe sex campaign.
Government sponsored condoms have been distributed since 1992, however students and youngsters between the ages of 15 and 24 view them as ‘uncool’.
This ‘re-branding’ of free condoms is to promote safe sex and reduce the risk of HIV in the country.
It is also designed to ensure the government meets its target of halving HIV/Aids, STI and TB infections by 2016.
Over the next three years government plans to distribute 3 billion scented male condoms, 54 million female condoms and 60 million sachets of lubricant to 4 000 sites countrywide.
