UPDATE: Man arrested for estate agent attack

Man in court for allegedly attacking eShowe estate agent, Jean Myburgh.

THE eShowe SAPS have made a breakthrough in the case involving the attack of an eShowe estate agent, Jean Myburgh earlier this year.

The 25-year-old suspect was arrested on Thursday following intensive investigations.

Myburgh (72) survived a traumatic experience when she was attacked and strangled by a prospective buyer on 11 June, while showing a house to him. Myburgh lost consciousness and woke up lying on the bathroom floor.

She sustained severe injuries to her neck.

The attacker had locked her inside the house and fled with the keys of the house as well as her motor vehicle, handbag and cell phone.

The suspect will be charged for attempted murder and theft.
