Ulundi Municipality cultivates young minds
Summit hosted to cultivate young minds who have possibilities of shaping a different tomorrow
YOUTH month is far gone but the Ulundi Municipality has gone beyond June to celebrate, honour and cultivate the young minds who have possibilities of shaping a different tomorrow.
The three-day Youth Summit, which started on Monday and came to its closure on Wednesday saw the Ulundi Stadium and multipurpose centre filled with young minds who were yearning to listen and obtain knowledge.
Motivational speaker, Pastor S Zondo brought cheers to the house with his inspiring message that youngsters were blessed to bless others.
After cheers JJ Zondi calmed the excited youth with introspective rhetorical questions and ended his message with ‘don’t be a spectator but be a participator’.
The highlights of the summit were the opening of the library and the Buy Back Recycling Centre.
Plagued with high levels of unemployment, the Buy Back Recycling Centre is aimed at providing an exchange of money with recyclable refuse to the people of Ulundi.
In the words of Sethu Sidzamba who said, ‘Don’t start a business because of profit, but start it because you want to be a solution’, it looks like the Buy Back Recycling Centre is indeed a solution.
