I READ a number of articles on Jeremy Clarkson with a mixture of frustration and disbelief.
The only reason he has so many fans is because there are so many of us who love his sense of humour.
I killed myself (not literally obviously) laughing at the episode that brought him the most criticism owing to the lack of sense of humour or humility of a certain Mexican Ambassador.
Surely those dour, witless egomaniacs who cannot handle this kind of humour can solve the problem by simply changing channels.
If you do not enjoy Clarkson’s type of humour – don’t watch it!
I had a sense of déjà vu when reading the letter by one geriatric, senile, slow-driving senior citizen.
Please, we all have rights. I love Val van der Walt’s sense of humour, as do most of the readers of the ZO.
If you don’t like his articles, read the rest of the paper. There is always something very serious and totally lacking in humour regarding the golden oldies that I am sure you will enjoy ’70 and Going Strong’.
FAN OF VAL
