Empangeni musicians in Poland with KZN choir

Musical pupils from Empangeni High School have a busy holiday schedule.

ALTHOUGH most school pupils are taking it easy and enjoying the much needed holiday, some Empangeni High School pupils will be using this time to further their musical talent.

Four pupils who are currently part of the KZN Youth Choir are in Poland as they participate in the International Music Competition.

They are accompanied by student teacher as well as the KZN Youth Choir’s musical leader and co-conductor Corey Yngsdal.

Another three pupils will be making their way to the Grahamstown Arts Festival as part of the KZN Youth Orchestra.

Lastly, four current pupils, one past pupil and one teacher will be travelling to the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival.

Although not organised through the school, the pupils were selected to take part in the prestigious event as a true reflection of their talent in the music sector.
