Zululand trio off to Mauritius
Good, Pillay and Solms will jet-off to Mauritius to compete at the National Finals after winning their respective divisions at the 27th regional Mercedes Trophy golf day held at the Richards Bay Country Club.
LOCAL golfing Mercedes-Benz owners took part in the 27th regional Mercedes Trophy golf day hosted by McCarthy Inyanga Empangeni on Thursday at the Richards Bay Country Club.
This prestigious event is one of 27 held in South Africa and is also held as a World Amateur Golfing event in over 45 countries.
Golfers followed an IPS format over 18 holes, competing in A, B and C divisions.
To qualify for the A division, one’s handicap must be between 0-8, B division 9-16 and C division 17-24.
Craig Good won the A division, Joan Solms the B division and Sagren Pillay the C.
The trio will compete at the National Finals in Mauritius in September.
The winners of this competition will represent Mercedes-Benz South Africa in the prestigious World Finals in Stuttgart, Germany later this year.
