A 41-YEAR-old murder suspect is fighting for his life in the Ngwelezana Hospital after a confrontation with the police in Mtubatuba on Thursday.
The man was shot in his stomach after he drew his weapon when approached by the police.
He is believed to be involved in the killings of two taxi owners in the area last year.
According to KwaMsane police, he was caught at Syembezi area at 7am after they received a tip-off.
He is recovering under police guard and will appear in court once he is discharged from hospital.
