Take Dad to see the rocking show, 'From Folsom To Memphis'

WITH Father’s Day coming up tomorrow, why not treat dad to some good ol’ fashioned rock ‘n roll.

The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway will be staging ‘From Folsom To Memphis’ on Sunday, 21 June, which pays tribute to the great forefathers of the country rock music genre such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis.

The show promises to keep heads boppin’ and cowboy boots tappin’ while listening to America’s favourite country rock hits.

Audiences will also be treated to the sounds of Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Roy Orbison and more.

From Folsom To Memphis features the musical stylings of The Black Lapels, with the band line-up including Rob Warren (guitar and vocals), Clare Skewis (vocals), Garth Warren (bass and vocals), Gareth Gale (drums), Greg Bedford (guitar), Tom Haire (saxophone), Daniel Sheldon (trumpet) and surprise guests.

Hits that will be featured in the show include Folsom Prison Blues, Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes, Great Balls Of Fire, Ring Of Fire, Johnny B Goode, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On, Be Bop A Lula, All Shook Up, Boy Named Sue and many more.
