Wagtails take the trophy

Ging and eShowe farmers meet on the indoor cricket pitch.

THE annual Mr Fertilizer indoor cricket match was played on Thursday evening at their premises in Gingindlovu.

The match, which sees Gingindlovu and eShowe farmers meet, is played under the doubtful eye of umpire, Angus MacDonald.

Owner of Mr Fertilizer, Bruce MacDonald quickly dealt with ill-disciplined players.

The eventual winners, as declared by umpire Angus, was the Ging Wagtails.

Tribute and a minute’s silence was observed for Inyoni farmer, Pete Johnson who was attacked on his brother’s farm two weeks ago.

Support was also offered to Ian Johnson who is still recovering in ICU and both their families.

In closing, Jubane was thanked for the additional lights which were fitted by Hall’s Electrical Installations and to eShowe and Gingindlovu Coastals for the prizes.
