UPDATE: Fatal N2 crash – teen not charged
Whether the teen will be charged or not, depends on a decision by the public prosecutor.
A 15-year-old teenage boy who took his father’s car without permission and was then involved in a fatal crash on the N2 last Wednesday, has not been arrested or charged.
Spokesperson for Empangeni SAPS, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, explained that after a full police investigation, the public prosecutor will make a decision whether or not to charge the teen.
Four people were injured and one person died on impact after the stolen Mercedes collided with a small bakkie on the N2 last Wednesday.
