Local DJ Queen on the rise
Richards Bay female deejay, Dj Queen to release her first album next month.
SPINNING her way to the top is Richards Bay female deejay Mpilo Amanda Gumede (26), aka DJ Queen.
The emerging star from the rural heart of Mzingazi will release her first album under Final Touch Records next month.
Her new composition titled ‘Message Melody’ features house and soul hits with a dash of tribal music.
She has taken Zululand by storm, conquered the male dominated industry and rose to the top.
DJ Queen has worked with many artists such as DJ Delela, Visto and Zinhle. She has also shared the stage with various well-known kwaito and house deejays.
She is also known for her acting role in a local drama series, Mzingazi Life Part Two, which is currently being shown on DSTV Channel’s1KZN TV.
