Thanda on a cliff-edge
Thanda prepare for another top flight opponent when they take on FC Cape Town away on Wednesday.

UNLESS Thanda Royal Zulu can regain their form in a hurry, they could well not only lose their hopes of first place and automatic promotion to the PSL, but might even find themselves out of the top three for the play-offs.
Sunday saw Amabhubesi surrender a 1-0 lead and concede two late goals as they went down 1-2 to Milano United in Cape Town – their third consecutive loss.
A sequence of away games, the club’s financial concerns and a change of head coach at this late stage of the season have certainly not helped their cause.
That said, they have not played badly despite the losses and with less bad luck and fewer dubious decisions against them, could quite easily have won all three.
An added huge mountain looms, as Thanda prepare for another top flight opponent when they take on FC Cape Town away on Wednesday.
Prior to that kick-off, the NFD top half log standings were:
1 Golden Arrows (46 points), 2 Jomo Cosmos (45pts), 3 Thanda (41pts), 4 Black Leopards (40pts), 5 CT All Stars (40pts), 6 Milano United (39pts), 7 FC Cape Town (38pts).
Arrows, Leopards and All Stars all have a game in hand over Thanda and are poised to gain ground if Amabhubesi fail again.
After Wednesday, Thanda have four remaining fixtures, including a home match against Golden Arrows on 29 April and away to Jomo Cosmos on 3 May.
Wins in these two matches will impact hugely, presuming – as expected – they also beat African Warriors away on 25 April and Garankuwa United in the final home league contest on 10 May.
