BRACKENHAM Primary’s school hall project’, which commenced in 2010, has been temporarily halted owing to the a lack of funds.
This comes as a great disappointment and an appeal for donations to support the project has been made to Zululanders.
The hall, with a seating capacity of 1 400, will be used for school events such as indoor sport, market days and concerts.
Managing the project is Principal Mr Govender, who said the completion of this building will be a dream come true for everyone.
‘Our school’s staff has been wanting a proper hall for a long time to cater for the needs of the children. We are really appreciative to all members involved in the process and urge local corporates and the community to assist this initiative,’ he said.
Phase Two of the project will include laying the concrete foundation, fitting the roof and finishing up all the electrical and plumbing necessities.
The school has a number of upcoming fund-raisers to aid the project’s progress, such as the 25th Silver Jubilee dinner and the Senior Prom which is diarised for later this year.
Interested sponsors can contact the school on 035 7981207.
