MATTHEW Vermaak took over the reins from Phillip Barnes as the 58th Chairman of Round Table Empangeni 61 during a glittering induction dinner at Amble Inn last week.
The evening’s procession was made particularly special as eight past chairpersons were present, as well as the Natal North Coast Area (NNCA) Chairperson Duncan Balmer.
A number of awards were handed out, including Stirrer of the Year (Clinton Gauld), Speakers Cup (Francois Minnie), Leg of the Year (Monese Kruger) and Tabler of the Year (Matthew Vermaak).
