Local soccer players make their mark
Ngcebo Zulu was appointed as a scout for the Zululand area.
SEVEN local young soccer players made their mark last week when they attended the AmaTuks (Pretoria University) Academy trails in Pretoria.
The lads were selected to join the university’s High Performance Centre’s (HPC) football programme.
They will attend camps every two months at the HPC in Pretoria for the duration of the year.
Next year the youngsters will attend Tuks High School within the precinct of the university. Each player received a full scholarship of R150 000 to be trained and, if they make the cut, play for AmaTuks.
The academy has also appointed local coach Ngcebo Zulu to serve as a scout for the Zululand area and he is delighted with this honour.
Schools and local teams can get a hold of him on 073 0266123.
