DISGRACED Mtubatuba Municipal Manager, Siyabonga Ntuli, has tendered his resignation, Provincial Administrator, Bamba Ndwandwe, announced in a statement today.
‘On Thursday Ntuli tendered his resignation, making it impossible to proceed with the disciplinary hearing against him,’ said Ndwandwe.
Ntuli had a total of 52 charges, including alternative charges, levelled against him.
He has been suspended on full pay since late October and was formally charged on 18 November.
Ndwandwe said the municipality will pursue with both the criminal and civil claims against Ntuli. ‘The municipality has suffered immense damages as result of his commissions and omissions as the Municipal Manager,’ concluded Ndwandwe.
