Star show from local snappers

Photographic club pushes all the right buttons.

THE February meeting of the Beachcombers Photography Club once again saw an awesome display of local lens talent.

The theme was ‘Monochrome’, with Gavin Fordham’s entry ‘Print Deadline’ taking top honours.

He followed this with a Certificate of Merit (COM) for another eye-catching black-and-white image, ‘Stairway to’.

Open category winner was Sias van Schalkwyk with his menacing ‘In shallow waters I wait’, while Novice first place went to Chantelle King’s ‘A different view’.

All visitors or interested photographers are invited to join in on the first Tuesday of every month.

The next meeting will take place on 3 March at the NSRI base, next to Zululand Yacht Club in Richards Bay, with the theme ‘Vintage’.
