Alton shop robbed of office equipment

Richards Bay business owners are fed up with crime.

A FLOORING company in Richards Bay was robbed of their laptops, computer and printing equipment early this morning.

Dollar Drive business owners were left infuriated after two of their security guards were held at gunpoint at 4am, with suspects then gaining entry and vandalising the shop.

The victims were subjected to another case of theft later in the morning when a toolbox was stolen out of the owner’s vehicle while they were reporting the business robbery to the police.

A case of burglary has been opened.

Business owners claim criminals escape into a piece of vacant land in the area.
‘This land is a free for all. Apart from the strangers that walk through this path, people use this place as a dumping site,’ one owner complained.
