Why do drivers continue to drive at ridiculous speeds while still in an enclosed and busy parking lot?
Drivers cannot even reverse out of their parking spaces without driving at a snail’s pace to avoid having the back of their cars completely mangled by some irresponsible driver who insists on driving 40km/h to get out of the lot.
And for those drivers who insist on reversing into their parking spaces, I continue to ask ‘why?’ What is the point of reversing into the parking space? If you can reverse that well to get in I’m sure you’ll be just fine at reversing to get out.
With limited space in most of our shopping centre parking lots, I feel it is so necessary to adhere to etiquette to avoid tragic situations.
Drive at a responsible speed, don’t be pushy by overtaking someone waiting to park and remember that everyone is in just as much of a rush as you are.
