AFTER serving as Secretary for 12 years at one of Richards Bay’s most prominent clubs, Ria Snyman has bid the Ski Boat Club farewell.
Speaking at the social gathering on Monday evening at the club’s lapa in Meerensee, an emotional Snyman said her life pretty much revolved around the Ski Boat club.
‘I am heart sore. I am really going to miss this club and its members.
‘When I first started here, I didn’t know what to expect as it was something completely different to what I was doing, but I eventually adapted,’ she said.
Commodore Gerrie Delport expressed his gratitude towards Snyman for all the selfless hours she put in to organising the major fishing competitions such as the Bonanza and Billfish Classic.
‘We wish you and your family everything of the best and hope that you enjoy your retirement,’ Delport said.
Snyman is moving to Springs to be closer to her family.
