Parents losing their children boggle the mind

I AM shocked and horrified after reading that 500 children went missing over the new year period.

How on earth do parents lose their children? Is this a reflection of our country and our society?

As parents we should be protecting them. I am lost for words and cannot get my mind around the fact that this can happen.

Having children comes with a major responsibility and if one is not mature enough to look after them, then don’t have them in the first place.

If we cannot look after our own children, what chance do we have as society?
