A RICHARDS Bay security guard was gunned down while on duty at around 4.30pm in the Nsese area on Sunday.
Police say the 23-year-old, whose name may not yet be released, was shot twice in the head and back by an unidentified suspect still on the loose.
It appeared nothing was taken from him.
The Richards Bay SAPS opened a case of murder.
